BATON ROUGE, La. — In the competition for readers between The Advocate and The Times-Picayune, The Advocate owner John Georges said Tuesday his newspaper will ultimately pull away because of its stronger emphasis on news and not entertainment.

Speaking during an LSU breakfast lecture, Georges also said The Advocate has the upper hand because of a better business model.
